**NEW** Mayor Haynie orders COVID-19 State of Emergency for the Town of Mount Pleasant. Town offices closed to the public until further notice.
Mayor Will Haynie has signed a proclamation declaring a state of emergency, effective March 16, 2020, to meet pubic emergencies affecting life, health, safety, and the property of residents and businesses in Mount Pleasant. All Town offices will be closed to the public and Town employees will work from home as much as possible. The proclamation will remain in effect until further notice.
The services we provide, inspections, permitting and plan review, remain fully operational at this time and are available thru the online services we provide (please use left menu bar to help you navigate). The Mayor has ordered at Stay at Home Proclamation, effective Thursday April 2, 2020, declaring residents stay at home with exemptions for travel to and from Essential Services. At this time, construction sites are deemed essential services where the contractor can ensure social distancing. We ask that the safety of our Inspectors be kept in mind when calling in Inspections and that they adhere to any safety requests that may be asked of them, such as limiting or clearing the worksite or other requests as observed by best practices by the CDC.
