MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (Sept. 19, 2019) – The Town of Mount Pleasant Public Services Department has created a dedicated emergency debris collection page on its website. There, residents will find daily updates, collection statistics, FAQs, resources and a debris collection progress map.
The debris collection webpage is part of the continued effort by the Public Services Department to keep residents up to date in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian. Residents are encouraged to bookmark the site for future use and to check back daily for updates.
As of Wednesday morning, debris collection continues to proceed efficiently with crews averaging 218 truckloads of debris per day and over 48,000 total cubic yards collected. Of 337 neighborhoods in Mount Pleasant, 40% are complete, 22% are ongoing/planned and 38% have not been started.
Mount Pleasant Public Services appreciates the patience of residents and their continued support throughout this effort. Crews will continue to work hard to ensure debris is collected as efficiently as possible.
