MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (January 10, 2018) - The Town of Mount Pleasant has partnered with Bonfire Interactive to create a new procurement portal for registering vendors to receive e-mail notifications when new solicitations pertaining to the goods or services they provide are posted to the website.
The Procurement Division of the Town manages all procurement activities for the Town, including providing a vendor registration system that will enhance and allow vendors greater access to the Town’s procurement opportunities.
It is the Division’s responsibility to deliver the best value for public funds, ensure open opportunity to bid, be efficient as possible and maintain compliance with local, state and Federal laws. With these requirements, the Procurement Division needed a software platform that went beyond simple online submissions.
As such, the division issued a Request for Proposals to find a cloud-based platform that supported the entire procurement process which includes: managing vendors, creating solicitations, accepting bids and proposals, evaluating proposals and managing the resulting contracts.
Through this process, the Procurement Division determined that Bonfire Interactive had the potential to fit the needs of the division’s workflow processes.
Recently, the Town implemented Bonfire which will assist in streamlining the procurement process, enabling easier and more efficient evaluation processes, and bolstering the data and reporting capabilities. The goal is to reduce hard-copy and manual processes while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the division.
