Shem Creek Phase III

sc phase iii

Description

This project is part of the Coleman Boulevard Revitalization Project. This is a continuation of Shem Creek Park. The project is an independent pedestrian bridge that will span the creek making a connection with the Coleman Blvd sidewalk on the east side and the existing boardwalk on the west side as well as a pocket park. This project is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan in that it increases public access to the water, enhances sense of place, increases connectivity, and prioritizes the pedestrian environment.

Status

Phase III Update: The final design for the Phase 3 to provide a pedestrian overpass is complete. The pedestrian bridge will connect both sides of the creek. Pocket Park construction is delayed. All permits have been received and all contracts have been released. The project mobilized February 11, 2019. Check out the video made by Thomas & Hutton on the final rendering!
