This project is part of the Coleman Boulevard Revitalization Project. This is a continuation of Shem Creek Park. The project is an independent pedestrian bridge that will span the creek making a connection with the Coleman Blvd sidewalk on the east side and the existing boardwalk on the west side. This project is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan in that it increases public access to the water, enhances sense of place, increases connectivity, and prioritizes the pedestrian environment.
The Town and professional consultants have been working with the Shem Creek Task Force to ensure the iconic landmark that is Shem Creek is preserved for future generations. The project is currently in phase III.
